The Nokia 6600 Slide was a very popular device in Q3 of 2008, enough that Nokia has seen fit to return to it for a revamp.
Undergoing a few nips and tucks, the Nokia 6600i Slide becomes an even more attractive prospect. The basic features of a 2.2″ TFT screen, FM radio and bundled 1GB memory card remain, but they are now complimented by a few cosmetic enhancements.
The body remains metallic but has gone from glossy to a very luxurious brushed matte look, and the changes are more than skin deep as the camera has been beefed up from a 3.2 to 5 megapixel lens, making the device the world’s smallest 5MP slider. The flash is still is dual-LED, and the connecitivity options remain robust with USB and Bluetooth 2.0.
The Nokia 6600i Slide is due for a Q3 2009 release, at a SIM-free cost of €200.
