The Samsung Tocco Lite Pink takes the pretty sequel to the Samsung Tocco and makes it even cuter. An exclusive through Mobiles.co.uk, the Samsung Tocco Lite was available on O2 from the 15th of May, and is set to go up against the LG Cookie as a cut price touch device, rather than the pricey option presented with the high-end Samsung i8910 HD which was released last week.

The S5230 Tocco Lite is mid-range device with high end features, with a 3″ touchscreen, 3 megapixel camera and MP3 player.

The Tocco Lite’s microSD slot offers up to 16GB of extra memory, win the pub quiz music rounds with Shazam “Find Music”, and enjoy stereo Bluetooth and robust media playback with video support.

The only shortcoming is a lack of 3G connectivity, but the Tocco Lite more than makes up for it with style and substance.

The forthcoming Samsung Tocco Lite (S5230) won’t be restricted to the vanilla black edition when coming to Carphone Warehouse on May 15th, where it will be made available in a fetching pink edition.

The S5230 Tocco Lite is a touchscreen driven handset focussing on the mid-range market, a 3″ touchscreen driven device with a 3.15 megapixel camera and all manner of feature normally preserved for high end phones.

An MP3 player, FM radio, a microSD expansion slot supporting up to 16GB of memory, as well as connectivity for Bluetooth and USB. The only things it seems to be lacking are Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, but it certainly has far more than touchscreen phones in a similar price range such as the LG Cookie.
